Concha Vidal, multidisciplinary artist

Multidisciplinary shows where performance, video art, dance, theater and visual arts unite

Concept

The performance, the performing and aesthetic practice as an urgency, as a life’s philosophy. Red color as the conductor of the thread that refers to the essential, to the desire, to what hurts most, to deep and sudden.

Performance as presentation, as sacrifice ritual that alters space-temporary coordinates; threshold in which the sacred peeks sometimes timidly, sometimes abruptly. And in the middle of the scene a body that speaks an indecipherable language, an organism that babbles unavoidable impulses. The performance as (re) presentation of the truth, as a sacred place in which the sacrifice of the circumstantial takes place.

Custom performance for an event or festival

A piece created exclusively for an event with a specific theme. Multidisciplinary performance that combines theater, dance and video art.

“Memoria en los zapatos”

“Memory in the shoes” is a performance created exclusively for the Museu del Calçat I Pell in Inca within the activities of the International Museum Day 2018

A journey through the labyrinths of memory. A testimony, a confession. A space for objects to shout what their owners did not dare to say: secrets, frustrations, violence or triumphs.

An installation that becomes a performance as it incarnates and inhabits in an almost imperceptible, slow, stealthy way. “Memory in the shoes” visits the most enigmatic corners of memory. The one of those objects that no longer have an owner. Their lives and deaths.

“La poética del sabor”

“The poetics of taste” is performance for Festival Insòlit 2017 with the participation of Andreu Genestra Chef

Two disciplines marked by the investigation of moments’ construction. They interact with each other and lend a hand to generate a shared experiential space. A gastro-performance piece that will take place live.

Presentation new fashion collection “Coll de Dama”

Performance for the presentation of the new fashion collection “Coll de Dama” by Xicoia. Designs by Angie Vallori

Xicoia presents Coll de Dama, a collection of 4 pieces accompanied by the Auba Pont jewelry, inspired by the fig; associated with abundance, sexual initiation and food. Coll de Dama as a play on words, as a symbol of the lady, the woman in its most mature, strongest version.

Sur de Sal

“Sur de sal” -south salt- is a interdisciplinary work where theater, installation and video art comes together. A dream trip, 3 characters converge in the midst of existential and creative crisis: a poet, a painter and a woman.
Through a risky visual poetry, they surround us in a tragic-comic journey. Work created within the framework of XIX Festival de Poesia de la Mediterrània.
